<table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"> <tbody> <tr> <td class="snip"> <p><strong>CONTEXT:</strong></p> <p>Boomtown Festival is a 60,000 capacity international music and theatrical festival held in Winchester, which focuses on high artistic output, cutting edge creativity and culturally relevant content. The company are launching a series of theatrical events in Bristol to further promote the immersive and large scale set production that the festival is quickly becoming known for.</p> <p><strong>ROLE SUMMARY:</strong></p> <p>The primary role is to launch a national, local press and media campaign for a new series of theatrical events. The role will be managing all social media, press relations with online and print publications, website content, photographers and film crew pre, during and post the event, as well as managing advertising opportunities in both print and digital outlets, and overseeing the creation of all promotional materials and building the brand up as the more theatrical wing of Boomtown’s creative output.</p> <p>The Marketing & PR Manager oversees and develops the relationship with the community ensuring consistency of information across the board, founding and building upon vital networks and relationships including with local press and businesses.</p> <p>The role will also include, when needed, additional marketing and PR support for Boomtown Festival.</p> <p>As well as possible on site support for the Communications Team at the festival in August.</p> <p><strong>DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <p><strong>Principal responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Creating and facilitating a strategic Press and Marketing campaign to launch and grown the new SOAC brand.</li> <li>Work with the theatrical team to develop accessible and on message story and promotional campaign across all media platforms.</li> <li>Manage promotion budget, issue PO’s and process invoices for all projects.</li> <li>Oversee all Public Relations to ensure solid communication with all press and that the marketing strategy targets are being met.</li> <li>Manage all website content and images.</li> <li>To book and manage all photographers and videographers for the events and create their individual briefings and schedules at the events.</li> <li>Brief and supply information and deadlines for designer for all promotional design elements for the events.</li> <li>Pre-event video production. To work alongside Creative Director, story team and video team to produce pre-event content.</li> <li>Setup and manage all social media.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Advertising</strong></p> <ul> <li>Research, negotiate and secure adverts in target publications as well as any street marketing campaigns.</li> <li>Liaise with designer on artwork and ensure sent to publication by deadline</li> <li>Coordinate editorial coverage when placing adverts.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Other Responsibilities (negotiable)</strong></p> <ul> <li>To work alongside the Communications Manager for Boomtown Festival during the event (10th -13th August)</li> </ul> <p><strong>Skills required:</strong></p> <ul> <li>2 years minimum of Press Management and Public Relations, with press contacts within the arts and theatre - Essential.</li> <li>Experience of researching, planning and implementing National Press campaigns - Essential.</li> <li>An understanding of Boomtown Fair, its history and ethos</li> <li>Understanding of the ‘voice’ of Boomtown</li> </ul> <p>Excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to interact with a range of audiences. Ability to work on multiple projects at once.</p> <ul> <li>Calm, friendly and enthusiastic approach to all situations.</li> <li>Familiar with using Google docs, Google forms, Dropbox, word, excel as well as CMS, Media Monitoring analytics, mass mailing systems.</li> <li>Self-motivator who works well within a team.</li> <li>Available for up to one month working on site from mid-July to mid-August.</li> </ul> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table>
