You may need to reset your password on your data.gov.uk account.

It’s something that we should all do more often, reset our passwords and make it harder for hackers to gain access to our information. If you have a data.gov.uk account, read on as this recent bit of news may affect you.

https://data.gov.uk/ has reported that after a routine security check, they discovered a file that contained user details (names, emails and hashed passwords) was publicity accessible on a third party system.

No misuse of the personal data has been reported but they are advising that anyone who signed up before or on 20th June 2015 reset their password.

If you have any question you can get in touch by emailing dgu-support@digital.cabinet-office.gov.uk
