Do you want to give the EU feedback on the cookie law?

The EU's ePrivacy Directive is being reviewed this year and The Web Guild are going to try to get our Members' voices heard. You can read more about the whole process here.

We'll be registering with the Transparency Register and submitting a reply to their questionnaire at the beginning of July. We'll be in touch before then with more details on our thoughts on things, but if you're a Member of the Guild please do get in touch if you have anything to contribute already. If we get a lot of responses or there are any contentious issues we may try and organise some kind of discussion for Members during June.

If you're not a member of the Guild yet but would like to get involved, you can get started here or read more about how it works.

Those cookie popups on European websites are extremely annoying. As an American browsing the web, I intentionally try to avoid known European websites because of the cookie popups--especially when I'm browsing on mobile. Like the cookie popup down below right here. Right down there. It is extremely annoying. Now I have to scroll to see the submit button. Also, does Brexit mean that soon I won't have to see them on UK websites? Thanks.
